Catoctin Mountain Orchard is a nice little store in Thurmont. It’s a great place to visit during the halloween season when they sell lots of pumpkins. It’s on US-15 and a great roadside place to pick up some baked goods, fresh fruits and produce. The apples are a great deal too, especially if you buy a lot of them. You can get half a bushel for about $20 and they last for a very long time. They have a great selection of fresh and local produce and also an amazing bakery plus ice cream, cheeses, ciders and bottled items like apple sauce, jam and hot sauce.
