Mount Ida

35 sec read

Mount Ida is a mansion located in Ellicott City, MD. It was built for William Ellicott, grandson of one of the city’s founders (Andrew Ellicott). There are conflicting dates for the construction, but according to the land trust it was completed in the late 1830s.

Over the years the mansion has changed hands many times. In 2019, Mount Ida was purchased by Nathan Sowers and Kimberly Kepnes. As of 2023, the couple renovated the mansion and opened it as The Inn at Mt. Ida (Ehrenhaft).
